If your school holds classes that consist of multiple sections meeting at the same time in the same room, you can build them as one class. For example, assume Spanish III and Spanish IV meet during period 3 in room 101. Scheduling multi-section classes provides the following benefits:
- The teachers responsible for this multi-section class can take attendance for all students in the room on one page in the Staff view.

There are several ways to build a multi-section class:
- During the build process, create a rule that builds the class for you.
- Manually create and schedule a multi-section class on the Workspace tab, Classes side-tab.
- Manually create and schedule a multi-section class on the Schedule tab in the School view for the existing master schedule for the current year.
